Got Matches?
Not the kind that
start fires, we're talking about company
matching funds for non-profit
organizations. Corporations and
civic-minded smaller businesses
acknowledge the value of supporting
local non-profits or rewarding employees
for their volunteer work. Ask your
human resources department (or the
company owner) if they would consider
supporting Arizona Golden Retriever
Connection through matching funds or a
contribution in recognition your hours
of volunteer work on behalf of AZGRC.
Corporate
Matching Programs
Corporations and
civic-minded smaller businesses
acknowledge the value of supporting
local non-profits or rewarding employees
for their volunteer work. One AZGRC
member documented her volunteer hours
and her employer generously donated to
us in honor of her efforts. Other
companies make a certain amount of money
available in matching funds for
non-profit organizations. Sadly, some
of this money probably goes un-used
because employees have not asked about
it. Check with your human resources
department.
Even smaller
businesses may contribute if you make a
request. Ask your employer if he or she
would consider supporting Arizona Golden
Retriever Connection through matching
funds or a contribution in recognition
your hours of volunteer work on behalf
of AZGRC. Pragmatic business owners
realize the value of having employees
who take an active role in improving
their community through volunteer
service or raising funds for area
non-profits. You can even 'sweeten the
deal' by offering to wear your company
shirt while you volunteer!*
AZGRC can help by
providing our non-profit tax ID number
or a receipt that you can present to
your employer.
*Need one more
reason to ask your employer? If you
have this talk with your employer and
they decide to launch a new matching
program based on your suggestion, let us
know! We will find a way to feature
your story on our website or in our
newsletter!
