Snowbelle here to give you the latest news. My
big brother Piper, Mommie and I were watching
the news and heard about Chaser. I always
thought Piper and Mommie were pretty smart.
Piper knows the names of a lot of his toys.
Mommie can say “Piper, go get lambie” and he
does. “Piper, go get football” and he does.
I
know my toy’s names but I get away with a lot by
playing the flaky blonde. But we were ALL put
to shame by the story of Chaser. She is a
beautiful border collie who knows more than
1,022 individual items. Over the years,
researchers have taught her to recognize and
respond to more than 1,000 words.
Chaser is showing the
world just how much dogs know. I’m not as smart
like that. But I can tell you that all my
canine friends and me understand and know a lot
more that our human companions understand. To
