Hi everyone! It is Thomas
again. I have news on another eye problem in
some dogs. I was very concerned about Entropion,
I went on line and found out about another eye
problem. It is called
Trichiasis.
Trichiasis
in dogs is hair from the eyelid growing in the
wrong direction and rubbing on the eye, causing
irritation. Boy, that is not good of us. There
is something that I don’t
like and that is it can be painful, and you tear
a lot. Also the cornea my become black and kind
of cloudy if it gets really irritated and you
haven’t
seen a vet.
I was told that the English
Cocker Spaniel sometimes can have
Trichiasis
more than other dogs, but I feel that any dog
can get this problem, so we need to get checked
out by your dr. It is always better to be safe
than sorry. I think you are like me and don’t
like pain and have anything wrong with me. So
if you have eye problems, please go and see your
vet.
Be
Healthy,
Thomas |
